Three actors and a Foley artist stage a live, shot-for-shot parody of an epic fantasy film, blending comedy, physical theatre and live Foley.
Fly, You Fools! runs at The Studio from Wednesday 20 January to Saturday 23 January 2027. It's a live, shot-for-shot parody of the most epic fantasy film of all time, with three actors and a Foley artist on stage doing the whole thing in front of you. The comedy comes from seeing them recreate the scale of a massive movie on a tiny stage, blending physical theatre with live sound effects made right there in the room.
The show is by the company Recent Cutbacks, who describe their work as a 'jaw-dropping blend of comedy, physical theatre and live Foley'. The Times gave it five stars and called it 'genius, sheer genius'. It runs for 65 minutes with no interval, and it's recommended for ages 8 and over, with no under-5s admitted. There's a captioned performance on Thursday 21 January at 8pm.
