Immersive theatre piece by Mooville Theatre exploring Black women's mental health through the lens of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Mooville Theatre brings Echoes of Reflection to the Zellig Building on Friday 30 October, an immersive theatrical exploration of Black women's mental health. It's a piece that draws on lived experiences to challenge the stereotypes, expectations and labels placed on the 'strong Black woman', and asks who defines our behaviour and how our emotions are judged.
To open up that conversation, the play frames its inquiry around the Seven Deadly Sins — pride, envy and wrath among them. The organiser describes it as a bold piece of work that turns internal struggle into a shared, questioning experience, so it's less of a passive watch and more of a raw, thought-provoking evening. It's staged in person at the Zellig Building in Deritend, and the performance runs for two and a half hours.
