Dom Glynn brings his electric country and honky-tonk sound to the Kitchen Garden Cafe in King's Heath, on his UK Tour 2026.
Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best play the Kitchen Garden Cafe on Wednesday 4 November, as part of his UK Tour 2026. The date follows the release of This Fast Life Is Killing Me, and the set will draw from it alongside the older songs he's built his reputation on.
Glynn is a Birmingham-born songwriter who works in the tradition of classic American country and honky-tonk, bringing those sounds into the present. He cites Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr as influences, and he describes himself as a storytelling individualist singing the blues in their tradition. On stage, he fronts a full electric band: Laurence Kingston on Telecaster, Roman Xavier on drums, and Jack Trouble on bass and harmony vocals. The show moves between driving, guitar-led anthems and stripped-back storytelling moments, so it's not all one gear.
He's a seasoned performer who's played major UK and European festivals, including Maverick, Ramblin' Roots Revue, Black Deer, Rotterdam Bluegrass and Static Roots. He's toured the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, and released a live album in 2025. Reviewers have pointed to his 'quiet intensity', his 'unexpected humour' and a voice that feels 'lived-in, not performed' rather than put on for the crowd.
