A Diwali and Hindu New Year sound bath and mudra meditation led by Scott, a sound healer and mindfulness practitioner, to reconnect with inner light.
Scott is leading a Diwali sound journey mudra meditation at The Iyengar Yoga Institute on Sunday 8 November, starting at 19:00. The session is built around the Hindu New Year and the festival of light, and it's designed as a way to connect with your inner light.
Scott is a sound healer and mindfulness practitioner, the founder of 'connection to self' workshops, and a Reiki Practitioner and Master teacher with more than 20 years of experience. He'll guide the session through the resonance of sound, with the aim of helping you release what you've been holding, clear stagnant or negative energy, and cut energetic cords that no longer serve your path. The idea is to come out of it feeling reconnected with the light within.

If you're new to this, a sound bath is a tranquil escape that combines soothing music with vibrations from bowls, gongs, or tuning forks to create a meditative experience. It's the kind of thing that appeals to mindfulness practitioners, yoga enthusiasts, and people who've never tried alternative wellness methods before. You'll be asked to bring your own blankets, yoga mats, or cushions, though chairs are available if you'd rather not be on the floor. Parking is limited both on-site and on the street, so it's worth keeping that in mind when you're planning your trip. The session is at The Iyengar Yoga Institute, 150 Westley Road, Acocks Green, B27 7UR, and tickets are £22.38.
