Scottish singer-songwriter Ross Wilson plays his solo project Blue Rose Code, headlining the East Of Eden Tour 2026.
Blue Rose Code plays Kitchen Garden Cafe on Thursday 26 November, part of the East Of Eden Tour 2026. It's the solo project of Edinburgh singer-songwriter Ross Wilson, who blends Scottish folk, soul, jazz and poetic songwriting. He describes taking his last drink as the start of living rather than the end of drinking, and has since become a committed musician and session regular for the BBC, STV, Alba, TG4 and Virgin Radio.
His album The Ballads of Peckham Rye was nominated for Scottish Album of the Year in 2014 and featured Danny Thompson, Karine Polwart, John Wetton, Aidan O'Rourke and Kathryn Williams; Ewan McGregor called it beautiful, and it appears on the follow-up, ...And Lo! The Bird Is on the Wing. Critics have likened him to "John Martyn meets a young Van Morrison shipwrecked with a crate of Chet Baker records" (Time Out), and The Times called his widescreen soul "a set of almost religious intensity and sincerity". The tour follows headline festival appearances and a sold-out Celtic Connections show in Glasgow.

Tickets are £19.80, which includes the booking fee, and the night starts at 8:00pm. The venue is at 17 York Road, B14 7SA.
