Free drop-in lunchtime recital by students of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the Industrial Gallery, held on the last Friday of every month.
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire students are playing free lunchtime recitals at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, one on the last Friday of every month. They run for 45 minutes, starting at 1:00pm, in the museum's Industrial Gallery.
The performances come from the Conservatoire, which has been training performers in the city since 1886 and turns out prize-winning concert pianists, folk ensembles and jazz bands. The Industrial Gallery itself is an ornate space with ironwork arches and large glazed roof windows, and the recitals run alongside the museum's exhibitions, so you can easily fit one in around a wander through the galleries.
