Festival pass for the Birmingham Improv Festival, with a dozen improvisation comedy shows across the festival programme at MAC Birmingham.
Birmingham Improv is back at MAC Birmingham this November, with the festival running from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6. It kicks off on the Wednesday with Pizza and Jam, a free launch event at 7:00pm, and the main festival shows follow on Thursday 5 and Friday 6.
This year's line-up brings together teachers and performers from across the UK, Europe and the USA. The organisers describe it as their best and boldest one yet, and it's built around the same thing that makes improv work: everything is made up on the spot, in front of you, with nothing scripted. If you've never seen it, that's the whole point — the performers take suggestions from the audience and build scenes and sketches from scratch, so no two shows ever end up the same.
If you're planning to make a proper go of it, there's a Festival Pass that opens up every show across the programme. There are a dozen performances in total, so it's a lot of comedy packed into a few days. One thing to keep in mind, though: the pass covers the shows, but it doesn't include the workshops, which are a separate part of the festival. The full programme hasn't been confirmed for this edition yet, so it's worth keeping an eye on the MAC for the final line-up.

The Festival Pass costs £111.95, and that gets you into every show on the bill. If you're just dipping in, you can still catch the free Pizza and Jam launch on Wednesday 4 at 7:00pm before the main festival shows run on Thursday 5 and Friday 6.
