Interactive music performance for babies from 0 to 18 months, with sessions for parents and their little ones.
Babies Adventures in Music (BAM) is back at The MAC in Birmingham on Friday 20 November and Friday 11 December, with sessions at 11:00 and 13:30 on both days. It's a music performance project made for babies from 0 to 18 months, and it's designed to be as much for the adults as for the little ones — something parents often mention after coming along.
What happens during a session is a warmly interactive performance that celebrates music through a range of instruments, styles, gentle movements and stimulating sounds. Each month brings a mix of familiar and new music, building on the babies' previous interaction and giving them more chance to learn and grow. It's a project that's released an album, Vol I, so there's a recorded side to it as well as the live sessions.

Past audiences have described the experience as 'magical', 'playful' and 'mesmerising', and the sessions are open to babies, families and friends. If you've got a little one in that 0-18 month bracket, it's a good way to get them around music in a space where they're the focus. The sessions run on Friday 20 November and Friday 11 December, with 11:00 and 13:30 slots on both dates at The MAC.
