30th anniversary screening of the cult horror film 'The Craft', certified 18, at The Belfast Barge.
The Craft is coming to The Belfast Barge on Saturday 31 October, a 30th anniversary screening that lands right on Halloween. It's a cult classic from 1996, so it's a fitting way to spend the afternoon if you're into the supernatural side of the holiday.
The film follows Sarah, a troubled outsider who transfers to a Los Angeles high school and befriends three aspiring teenage witches. Together the quartet unleashes powerful spells to overcome personal hardships and punish bullies, but as their supernatural power grows, a dangerous lust for control threatens to tear the coven apart from within. It's a story about friendship, power, and what happens when you get a bit too much of the latter.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you book. The screening is certified 18 by the BBFC, and there are warnings about suicide references, so it's not one for the younger crowd. Tickets are required for everyone over two years old, though there are concessions for under-18s, over-65s, carers and students, which is worth checking if you're booking for a group.
