Stand-up show by New York comedian TJ, his third tour, about love, death, grief and immigration.
TJ brings The Alien Everywhere to the Waterfront Hall Studio on Wednesday 28 October. It's his third stand-up tour, and it's the one that turns his attention to love, death, grief and immigration, handled with the incisive wit that's earned him a global following.
TJ is Tanael Joachim, a Haitian-born comedian raised in Haiti and now based in New York City. This tour follows a long list of shows across the US and European dates in Portugal, Spain, Austria and Greece, so the Belfast date sits within a run that's been crossing oceans for a while. In New York, he's a regular at the Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club, and has appeared on Gotham Comedy Live (AXS TV) and Good Day New York (FOX5). He's also played the Netflix Is A Joke Fest, SF Sketchfest, the New York Comedy Festival and Rogue Island Comedy Festival.
The Alien Everywhere is the title he's given this run, and the subject matter — love, death, grief and immigration — tells you exactly where it's heading. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the heavy stuff, but keeps it grounded in the comedy. If you've seen him before, this is the third tour he's taken out; if not, it's a good place to start.
