Live concert by singer-songwriter Ryan McMullan at the historic Ulster Hall in Belfast.
Ryan McMullan plays Ulster Hall on Friday 23 October, with the night presented by the Ulster Orchestra. It's a live-streamed set, so if you can't make it into the city that evening, you can still catch it from home.
McMullan is a singer-songwriter from Portaferry, and this is a homecoming of sorts. He first sold out Ulster Hall back in December 2018 while playing as a support act, and he's since headlined Belfast venues like The Limelight and Mandela Hall. He's supported local names like Ciaran Lavery and Foy Vance, as well as Ed Sheeran in European arenas. He recorded the song Belfast City and spent 2019 working on his debut album and a Glastonbury appearance.
Ulster Hall has a long history with his work, too. The venue is more than 160 years old and has hosted many of his performances, including the live session video for Belfast City. The night is presented by the Ulster Orchestra, founded in 1966, whose full-time musicians make up the region's only professional symphony orchestra, with Anna Handler as Chief Conductor.
