Stand-up show 'Will Change Your Life' by Romesh Ranganathan, with two evening shows at the Grand Opera House.
Romesh Ranganathan brings his latest tour, Will Change Your Life, to the Grand Opera House on Sunday 24 January 2027, with two shows that day: a matinee at 4:00pm and an evening performance at 8:00pm. It's a stand-up set, and the title isn't just for show — Ranganathan claims the show is scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem.
If you've come across his name but aren't sure where to place him, he's been a constant on TV for over a decade. He first made a name for himself with The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, and since then he's popped up in Parents' Evening, Rob & Romesh Vs, A League of Their Own, The Weakest Link, and Can't Knock the Hustle. He also hosts a long-running Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 2 and a handful of podcasts — Wolf & Owl, For The Love of Hip Hop, and The Romesh Ranganathan Show — so there's a fair bit of work behind the scenes that doesn't always make the headlines.
He's not just a TV face, though. He burst onto the comedy circuit back in 2010, reaching the Latitude New Act Final and the So You Think You're Funny? Final, and coming runner-up in the Amused Moose Laugh Off that same year. In 2015 he starred in Asian Provocateur for BBC Three, where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country, and a second series, Mum's American Dream, followed in 2016. Critics have described him as a superb comedian, his set extraordinarily hilarious and his gags bitingly fresh.
