Orbital play Limelight 1 with their new album 'Other' on The Other Tour.
Orbital are playing Limelight 1 on Saturday 10 April 2027, as part of a UK and European tour for their eleventh studio album, Other, which comes out on 19 March 2027 on London Records. The Belfast date is one of the first stops of the run, which opens in Dublin on 8 April before calling at Limerick and then here.
Other is the duo's first new material since 2023's Optical Delusion, and the lead single, 'Mother, Maiden & Crone', features actor Maxine Peake. It draws on witchcraft and folklore, pairing gothic synths with sΓ©ance-like spoken vocals. The album as a whole explores otherness in all its forms β from neurodiversity and identity to outsiders β and ranges through gothic folk, drum & bass, punk and ambient alongside the electronic sound the brothers have spent three decades perfecting.
Behind the name are brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, who've been working together since the early nineties. The new record follows a few years of looking back: 2024 saw a reissue of The Green Album, and 2026 brought Glastonbury 1994, the first official release of their landmark festival performance. Other marks a return to new studio work, and the tour will be the first chance to hear it live.
