The hit comedy-musical about an out-of-work actor who becomes a Scottish nanny to stay in his children's lives, with Gabriel Vick in the lead role.
Mrs. Doubtfire comes to the Grand Opera House from Wednesday 12 April to Sunday 30 April 2028, a three-week run in the heart of Belfast. Gabriel Vick takes the lead as Daniel, the out-of-work actor who finds himself at the centre of the story.
If you know the plot, you've got the gist: Daniel loses custody of his children in a messy divorce and, desperate to stay in their lives, creates a whole new persona — the Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire — to get back inside the family home. The stage version builds on that, with new songs, sets and dance numbers. Time Out called it 'genuinely funny', and The Telegraph and Daily Express both described it as a 'surefire hit'. It's recommended for ages 6 and up, so it works as a family outing as much as a night out with friends.

The show runs for two hours and thirty minutes, including an interval, and there are a couple of specific performances to keep in mind if you need them: a signed performance on Thursday 20 April at 7:00pm, and an audio-described one on Saturday 22 April at 1:00pm. Tickets are between £50 and £75, which includes the maximum applicable per-ticket booking fee. The Grand Opera House is Northern Ireland's most iconic theatre, and it's right in the city centre, so it's easy enough to get to from anywhere in Belfast.
