Adam Garcia brings his West End dance show Emerald Storm to the Grand Opera House, fusing Irish dance and urban tap with live music from Tom Ball.
Adam Garcia brings his new dance show Emerald Storm to the Grand Opera House on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November, with matinees at 2:30pm and evening shows at 7:30pm both days. It's a West End production that Garcia produced and starred in for the first time, and it's his first time bringing it to Belfast.
The show is built around a crossover: the fire of Irish dance meeting the grit of urban tap. It blends dance, music and voice into a high-impact night of rhythm and spectacle, and the production describes it as what would happen if Riverdance and Stomp had a baby. That gives you a fair idea of the energy it's aiming for â the precision of Irish step dance paired with the percussive, street-level drive of tap.
Garcia leads the company, and he's joined on stage by Britain's Got Talent finalist Tom Ball, who performs live alongside a company of world-class dancers and musicians. The whole thing is recommended for all ages, so it works as a family outing as much as a night out with friends. The running time is two hours, which includes an interval.
