Free screening of the short film 'Little Dandelion' within the International Shorts Programme 3 of the 37th Cinemagic festival for young people.
Little Dandelion screens in Belfast on Sunday 18 October, as part of the International Shorts Programme 3. It's one of the many screenings running across the city during the 37th Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People, which this year goes by the name Cinemagic On the Pulse.
Cinemagic takes over a full month in Belfast, filling it with screenings, industry talks, workshops and hands-on learning experiences. The whole thing is devoted to short-form storytelling for young audiences, and it runs alongside work by emerging local filmmakers, so there's a good mix of international shorts and homegrown talent. This edition puts a particular spotlight on youth issues through its world cinema programme, and it adds talent lab industry masterclasses and the Cinemagic Young Filmmaker weekend to the usual line-up.
Little Dandelion is one of the shorts in the International Shorts Programme 3, so it's part of a wider selection of short films from around the world rather than a standalone feature. If you're into short-form storytelling, it's a good chance to see something that might not usually make it onto a Belfast screen.
