Halloween-themed Irish dancing céilí with live music by Tyrone Trad, dance calls, a best Halloween costume prize and performances by IDA dancers, for over-18s only.
Irish Dancing for Adults (IDA) bring their Halloween Céilí to The Errigle Inn on Friday 30 October, one of the biggest dates in their calendar. It's a night they've staged across Ireland for years, and this time it lands on the Ormeau Road. The music comes from Tyrone Trad, with special performances from IDA's own dancers throughout the evening.
If you've never done a céilí, there's no need to worry about knowing the steps. Every dance is called as you go, so you can turn up as a total newcomer and still find your feet. It's built for everyone from first-timers to experienced feis champions, and the calling means you don't need any prior knowledge to join in. Fancy dress is encouraged, and there's a prize for the best Halloween costume, with a roving professional photographer on hand to catch the room in full swing. It's an over-18s night, so keep that in mind if you're planning a group.
