The award-winning Broadway and West End musical Hadestown on its first UK and Ireland tour, with performances at the Grand Opera House.
Hadestown comes to the Grand Opera House from Tuesday 27 July to Saturday 7 August 2027, as part of its first-ever UK and Ireland tour. It's the Broadway and West End musical by singer-songwriter AnaΓ―s Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin, and it's picked up eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, as well as the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album. The show weaves together two ancient Greek myths: the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. It's a long one, running two hours and 30 minutes including the interval, and it's recommended for ages 8 and over. If you're looking for a captioned performance, there's one scheduled for Thursday 5 August at 7:30pm.
