New production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats, directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie and starring Alice Fearn as Grizabella.
Cats comes to the Grand Opera House from Tuesday 2 March to Saturday 13 March 2027, a two-week run in Belfast. It's a brand-new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, and it keeps the same score that's been around since the start: 'Old Deuteronomy', 'Macavity: The Mystery Cat', 'Jellicle Ball', and the chart-topping 'Memory'. The story follows a tribe of London strays and rebels who gather under the Jellicle moon, each hoping to be chosen.
Alice Fearn is scheduled to star as Grizabella, and Drew McOnie directs and choreographs. He's worked on Brigadoon and Jesus Christ Superstar, so he's no stranger to the musical stage. The show runs for two hours and twenty minutes, including the interval, and is recommended for ages five and over.
