Comedian Aoife Dunne brings her debut show Good Grief, a blend of stand-up and theatrical storytelling about loss, to the Lyric Theatre.
Aoife Dunne brings her debut comedy show Good Grief to the Lyric Theatre on Sunday 8 November, starting at 19:30. It's a show that's been on the road for a while now: it sold out its entire 2025 tour, which took it through the Edinburgh Fringe, the Galway International Arts Festival and a run of major Irish theatre dates, and it's still touring into 2026 on the back of that demand.
On stage, Dunne blends stand-up with theatrical storytelling to look at loss and the strange, often hilarious ways people survive it. It's the kind of thing that draws a wider crowd than the usual comedy-club set, sitting closer to the theatre-comedy crossover work that's become a staple of the fringe festival circuit. Critics have pointed to its warmth, its wit and Dunne's own performance, with Chortle giving it four stars.

The Belfast date is at the Lyric Theatre, Northern Ireland's only self-producing theatre. It was founded by Mary O'Malley and is marking its 75th anniversary this year with a series of special projects, so this run sits within that wider celebration. The show plays on the Main Stage at 55 Ridgeway Street, and tickets range from £16 to £32.
