Guided tasting evening pairing five McConnell's whiskies with Neary Nógs chocolate creations at Hickson's Point, part of Titanic Belfast's Flavours of Autumn.
Neary Nógs and McConnell's are teaming up for a chocolate and whisky pairing at Hickson's Point on Wednesday 11 November, from 7pm to 9pm. It's two local brands sharing one table, and the whole thing is built around how the flavours, craftsmanship and processes behind locally made chocolate and Irish whisky come together.
The night starts with a Shipyard Fix whisky cocktail to settle you in, followed by a guided tasting that pairs five McConnell's expressions — from the 5 Year Old Signature through to the 20 Year Old — with Neary Nógs chocolate creations. You'll work your way through the range, seeing how the different ages and styles of the whisky sit against the chocolate.
It's part of Titanic Belfast's Flavours of Autumn, a celebration of local food and drink running every weekend until 15 November. That wider programme spotlights producers like Irish Black Butter, Maine Soft Drinks and White Water Brewery, and includes the pop-up exhibition Flavours of Titanic: A Journey Through Taste, Seasoned with Stories on Level 1, along with a new Smells of Titanic sensory station.

Hickson's Point itself is named after Robert Hickson, who sold his small Queen's Island shipyard to Edward James Harland and paved the way for Harland and Wolff. It's set up as an authentic 1900s public house, with heritage décor and traditional music. Tickets are £45 per adult.
