Solo concert by Bell X1 member David Geraghty, playing old and new material on his Komorebi Autumn Tour.
David Geraghty plays the Crescent Arts Centre on Thursday 22 October, as part of his Komorebi Autumn Tour, presented by Music Capital. It's a solo show, and he'll be playing both old and new material.
Most will know him as a member of Bell X1, but this is him stepping out on his own. He's a composer and multi-instrumentalist, and the set is built around his solo work rather than the band's. The new material comes from his first solo single, 'Valentine', which he released in February and which picked up a fair bit of attention from the radio and the press ā The Irish Times, Hot Press, Pure M Zine, RTĆ Radio 1, 2FM, and Dublin City FM all had something to say about it. 'Normal Two Point Zero' followed that, a psychedelic slice of synth pop that points towards the kind of territory he's working in these days.
He's been playing solo for a while now, and the Komorebi tour is about taking more of his new album to audiences. The set doesn't just stick to the new stuff, though; he'll be mixing in older material alongside it, so you'll hear where he's coming from as well as where he's heading. It's a solo night, so it's just him up there.
