Belfast singer-songwriter Dani Larkin plays Crescent Arts Centre with her guitar and banjo, bringing her album 'Next of Kin'.
Dani Larkin plays the Crescent Arts Centre on Sunday 15 November, a Belfast date on her first European tour. She's a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from the city, and the set will be built around guitar and banjo. Her music is described as beguiling, intense and driven, rooted in ruminations on love and experiences of wildness, loss and mystery.
Much of the night will come from her second album, Next of Kin, which arrived in January 2026. She co-produced it with Ruth O'Mahony Brady, best known for her work with Gorillaz and Sam Smith, and the songs move through themes of queerness, Irish identity and religion. Larkin told Hot Press in March that the record is a companion to life, love and death, a gift to her audience.
It follows Notes For A Maiden Warrior, which earned nominations for Best Single and Best Album at the Northern Ireland Music Prize and Best Emerging Artist at the RTE Folk Awards. Since then, she's toured North America, Australia, Europe and Asia, collaborated with the Ulster and RTE Concert Orchestras, and shared stages with Rufus Wainwright, Glen Hansard, Lisa O'Neill and Snow Patrol. Gary Lightbody has called her 'one of the finest songwriters of our times'.
