Participatory music and dance session for children under 4 and their grown-ups, with dance classics from the 70s to the noughties played by DJ Venus Dupree.
Young at Art are bringing Baby Rave to Crescent Arts Centre on Sunday 18 October, with four sessions running throughout the day. It's one of their year-round programmes for children, young people and their adults, and they describe it as their signature music and dance event — 'the original and ravers' favourite'.
It's a participatory session for children under four and their grown-ups, who boogie together to a soundtrack of dance classics from the 70s, 80s, 90s and noughties. A team of dance facilitators leads the bouncing, so you don't need to worry about having any moves of your own. The room is dressed as an ambient club, with funky lights, soft materials and parachutes, and the whole thing is designed to be as much for the adults as for the little ones.
On the decks this time is Young at Art resident DJ Venus Dupree, who'll be providing the soundtrack. The event travels to venues all over the island of Ireland and beyond, so this is one of its many stops.
