Belfast punk and alternative rock band Alchemie open Bandage, a charitable Battle of the Bands night with all money raised for Cancer Research UK.
Alchemie open the night at The Belfast Barge on Monday 26 October, part of a Battle of the Bands style evening called Bandage. It's a charitable one, with all the money raised going to Cancer Research UK, and it's open to everyone, including under-18s, so it's as much a family outing as a night out. Alchemie take the first slot, with Wilde Rose, MVP and Antenna following on later in the evening.
Alchemie are a punk and alternative rock band from Belfast, and they've been playing gigs across the country. Their debut single, Phoenix Song, has had airplay on BBC Radio Ulster, and they've picked up a few wins along the way: they took the Battle of the Bands title at 'Eats and Beats' in Newcastle earlier this year, which earned them the chance to open for D-Ream.
Because it's a Battle of the Bands format, there's a bit more to it than just buying a ticket. When you get yours, you can indicate which act you're there to support, though it's limited to 30 tickets per band, so if you've got a favourite on the bill, it's worth getting in early. Between Alchemie opening and the three acts that follow, it's a full night of live music rather than a single set.
