Five-piece Britpop and Britrock band A Band With No Name, fronted by singer-songwriter Justin Curran, plays 1990s anthems and original material at The Belfast Barge.
A Band With No Name play The Belfast Barge on Wednesday 21 October, with Taylor Lally opening the night. They're a five-piece Britpop and Britrock outfit fronted by Justin Curran, a Belfast singer-songwriter who's been living in the French Alps village of Chanaz with his family since shortly after the Covid lockdown, where he runs his own recording studio. The set mixes 1990s anthems with the band's own original material.
Curran also records as a solo artist and has spoken openly about being diagnosed with PTSD in 2018 after two years of struggling, a journey that sits at the heart of his second solo album, The Light Shines Through The Darkness. He's written about his insomnia, his love of walking in the mountains, and his weakness for red wine, which he's tried to stop drinking.
