Metalcore and hardcore punk concert featuring Sheer Terror, Governor and Pack Mentality at The Lost Well.
Sheer Terror are playing The Lost Well on Sunday, August 30, with Governor and Pack Mentality on the bill. It's a hardcore metal night, and the three bands share a stage for one evening in East Austin.
Sheer Terror takes the top spot. They've been around since the late eighties, coming out of the New York hardcore scene, and they're still touring and playing live. If you've followed them, you know the sound: heavy, mid-tempo hardcore with a good deal of sarcasm and a lot of shouting. They've put out a long string of records over the decades, and they're still active, so this isn't a reunion or a one-off—just another stop on their touring schedule.
Governor and Pack Mentality round out the lineup. Governor brings their own brand of heavy to the night, and Pack Mentality adds another layer of hardcore to the mix. Between the three, the bill stays firmly in the metal and hardcore territory, with Sheer Terror as the veteran act leading the way.
