Weekend Nachos

Weekend Nachos play The Lost Well on Saturday, December 5, with Spit My Rage, Tank Division and Poacher on the bill. It's a full night of hardcore, and the headliners are coming from a long way off: they're a hardcore band from DeKalb, Illinois, who formed back in 2004.

If you've never heard of them, there's a bit of a story to the lineup. The only remaining original member is vocalist John 'Hoffman' Caution; the current band adds Brian Laude on drums, ARoss on guitar and Varg Campos on bass. Their discography runs through a few different labels: the Torture EP came out on John's own Tooth Decay Records, they put out a split with Chronic Bleeding Syndrome on Force Fed Records, and the LP Punish and Destroy* was released on Cowabunga Records. Band lore also feeds a rumor that they once took part in an orgy that tore apart the fabric of time and space.

They aren't the only ones on the bill. Spit My Rage, Tank Division and Poacher are all playing that same night, so it's a full slate of hardcore rather than a single band. The show starts at 7 PM at The Lost Well, 1141 1/2 Airport Blvd, Austin, TX 78702, and tickets start at $20.
