Queer two-step night with social dancing and lessons at Sagebrush, 21+ with $10 cover.
Queer Two-Step Night is at Sagebrush on Monday, September 14, with Neon Rainbows leading the evening. It's a queer-focused two-step night that combines social dancing with lessons, so you can get your footing before you hit the floor.
Sagebrush is an old-school dance hall at 5500 S. Congress, and it bills itself as home to the oldest oak dance floor in town. The place sits on about an acre of land, with a backyard that hosts vendor markets and vintage western wear. Inside, the room does more than just two-step: it runs live music, keeps a large selection of local draft beers and cocktails, and holds two-step classes on certain nights.

That's where the lessons come in for this one. If you've never two-stepped, or if you've only ever done it in a way that doesn't quite feel like you, the lessons give you a chance to work through the steps before the social dancing takes over. From there, you can spend the rest of the night dancing with whoever you like. The whole thing is 21+, with a $10 cover at the door.
