National Frozen Drink Day

Hotel Vegas and The Volstead Lounge are celebrating National Frozen Drink Day on Thursday, August 6, with a full day of music and drinks that starts on the patio and moves inside as the night goes on. The whole thing runs from 6 PM to 1 AM, and every act on the bill is from right here in Austin.

The early part of the evening stays outdoors. From 6 to 8 PM, Selecter Screech plays a vinyl DJ set on the hotel patio, and the Shinglers take over at 8:15 PM. Along with the music, there will be vendors on the patio and new Hotel Vegas commemorative cups to mark the occasion.

As the sun goes down, the music shifts inside. Inside Vegas, the lineup kicks off with The Love Variants at 9:30 PM, followed by Otis Wilkins at 10:15 PM, Late Wife at 11 PM, and Couch Slippers at 11:45 PM. Over in The Volstead Lounge, Vintage Jay keeps a free dance party going from 9 PM until 1 AM.

It's a long stretch of music across three different spaces, so you can start outside with the vinyl and the commemorative cups and work your way through the bands inside. Entry is free on the hotel patio, and the whole event is 21+.
