East Side Mini Open Closing Party

The East Side Mini Open Closing Party takes over Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge on Saturday, October 17, from 1 PM to 9 PM. It's the wrap-up for the East Side Mini, and the day is built around a few different stages and a shifting program that runs from the early afternoon through the evening.

Things kick off with Selector Screech on the decks from 3 PM to 6 PM, keeping the room moving while the afternoon stretches out. At 7 PM, Michael Reyes takes over for Clubhouse Karaoke, so if you've been waiting for a reason to get on the mic, that's your window. The main event arrives at 8 PM: the Closing Party and awards ceremony, hosted by Butcher Bear and Kevin Curtian. And throughout the day, Loose Springsteen is playing live on the patio stage, so there's music going on outside even when the indoor focus shifts.

It's a long stretch of a day—eight hours in total—so you can drop in for one part and head out, or hang through the whole thing. The karaoke and the awards ceremony are the two big anchors of the evening, and with the patio stage running alongside them, the music doesn't really stop from the time the doors open until the night winds down.

Entry is free, and it's 21+. The whole thing runs from 1 PM to 9 PM at Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge, 1502 E 6th St.
