A community bingo night featuring custom-designed cards by local artist Bryan Spear, with all proceeds benefiting Preservation Austin.
Preservation Austin is hosting an Austin Bingo night at Zilker Brewing Company on Thursday, July 23, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's a fundraiser for the non-profit, and the whole thing is built around the city we live in.
The bingo cards are the center of the night. They're custom-designed by local artist Bryan Spear and filled with iconic Austin landmarks, neighborhoods, traditions, and local favorites. Instead of numbers, you're marking off the things that make the city what it is, and you can play them throughout the evening. Prizes are donated by local Austin businesses, so there's something to win as the rounds go on.
Every cent from the cards goes to Preservation Austin, the non-profit that works to protect and celebrate the historic places that make the city unique. If you've ever walked past an old building and wondered who lived there or what it used to be, that's the kind of work they do—keeping the city's physical history from disappearing. The night is a way to support that mission while hanging out with other people who love the city.
