Stand-up comedy show with Alan Haynes at The Little Longhorn Saloon.
Alan Haynes is performing stand-up comedy at The Little Longhorn Saloon on Friday, August 28. It's a straightforward bill: Haynes takes the stage for a full set, and that's the whole night.
If you're not familiar with the room, the Little Longhorn is at 5434 Burnet Road. It's been a fixture of Austin's honky-tonk country music scene for more than four decades, drawing thousands of fans each week with live music and its world-famous Chicken Shit Bingo, the saloon's original home, played every Sunday from 4 to 8 PM across four rounds. More than 600 bands play there every year, among them James Hand, Alvin Crow, James Intveld, Weldon Henson, Mike Stinson, The Derailers, Two Hoots and a Holler, Fingerpistol and Dallas Moore. It's a place that usually rings with country music and the Sunday bingo crowd, so seeing a stand-up set here is a bit of a departure from the usual programming.
