A trivia competition revisiting 2000s hip hop and R&B with karaoke, dance battles and prizes, hosted by Bak and RuDi Devino.
Pershing Hall is hosting a 2000s Hip Hop/R&B Edition trivia night on Sunday, August 23, and it's built around the specific, flashy energy of that decade. The night frames the 2000s as the era of bling, crunk, and those big Hip Hop/R&B collaborations, alongside the grimy one-hit wonders and dance crazes that defined the time. The names they're citing as touchstones are Ludacris, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, and Beyoncé.
The whole thing is set up as a competition. You'll need to pull together a crew, pick a team name, and work your way through four high-energy trivia rounds. Those rounds unlock the signature challenge rounds that follow: Autotune Karaoke, Who Dat Iz, Dance Battles, and Musical Chairs. So it's not just about who remembers the most lyrics or producers—you'll actually have to get up and do something.
Bak (@thefeedbak) and RuDi Devino (@gorudi) are hosting, with DJ Nixx (@djnixx) on the soundtrack. Prizes come from local businesses, including YETI, and a full menu with drink specials runs alongside the play, so you can eat and drink while you're competing.
