Concert by the folk-pop duo Jackopierce at the historic Pershing Hall venue in Austin.
Jackopierce play Pershing Hall on Wednesday, December 9, 2026. It's the folk-pop duo of Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce, two voices and two acoustic guitars.
They've been at it since 1988, when they met as theater students at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Over nearly four decades, they've put out ten studio albums, including two for the major label A&M. Their debut, Bringing on The Weather, was produced by T-Bone Burnett. They've toured three continents, nine countries, and 48 states, and shared stages with Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow, Matchbox Twenty, and Toad the Wet Sprocket. In 1997, they played the Blockbuster RockFest at Texas Motor Speedway alongside No Doubt, Counting Crows, and Matchbox Twenty.
There was a five-year hiatus along the way, but they reunited in 2002 and kept writing and recording, later releasing the live album Live 25 to mark their 25th anniversary. They're also known for their "Destination Shows"—intimate concerts set in local spots like vineyards and ranches, which their fans often cite as their best. Pershing Hall, the venue for this one, is an Austin room in a historic lumber mill that prioritizes the listening experience.
