Weekly Saturday farmers market with around 25 local organic vendors, artisan cheese, fresh eggs and baked goods in Piedmont Park.
The Piedmont Park Green Market is back at Piedmont Park Conservancy this Saturday, October 31, from 9 AM to 1 PM. It's one of the city's longest-running farmers markets, having connected Atlanta with local farmers, producers, and artisans in the heart of the park for more than 20 years. The market is run by the nonprofit Piedmont Park Conservancy, and it's often described as one of the park's most beloved traditions.
What you'll find there is a high concentration of certified organic vendors, alongside artisan cheese from licensed Georgia dairies, fresh eggs, baked goods, and mushrooms. There are around 25 weekly vendors, and the whole thing is set in a kid-friendly, wide-open space. If it rains, the market moves indoors to the adjacent Community Center, so you can still get your shopping done even if the weather doesn't cooperate. The park is ADA compliant and dog-friendly, so you can bring the kids and the dog along.
One of the better things about the Green Market is its partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia on Georgia Fresh For Less, a program that doubles EBT benefits on fresh fruits and vegetables. It's a practical way to make fresh, local produce more accessible, and it's a good reminder that the market is meant for everyone in the community, not just a few.
