Photo book sharing session held by the Atlanta Photography Group for its photography community.
Atlanta Photography Group is hosting Photo Book Saturday on Saturday, January 23, from 10 AM to 12 PM. It's a photo book sharing session, so the whole morning is built around people bringing in books and talking through them. If you've got a photo book you've been meaning to show or just want to see what other photographers in the city are reading, this is the kind of thing you'd go to.
To get a sense of the room, it helps to know who's behind it. Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is an artist-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization that's been around since 1987, set up to serve the city's fine art photography community. Their mission is to help photographers further their artistic development, sustain an inclusive and vibrant photographic community, and promote contemporary photography as a significant art form through exhibitions, workshops, critiques, and photocentric events overseen by a Board of Directors. The APG Gallery hosts exhibitions juried by well-known photography curators, gallery owners, and experts, and it's free and open to the public.
