First annual German-inspired afternoon at the Buckhead Butcher Shop with bratwurst and sauerkraut, a flight of German-style beers and two cooking demonstrations.
Buckhead Butcher Shop is hosting its first annual Oktober Wurst-Fest on Sunday, October 25, from 12 PM to 4 PM. It's a German-inspired afternoon built around bratwurst, sauerkraut and German-style beer, and the shop is open to the public throughout the day with a cash bar running.
The day opens with small bites and a flight of German-style beers to get you started. The main event is a 90-minute demonstration-style cooking class led by Chef Kyle and Chef Matthew, who'll show you how to make bratwurst and sauerkraut at home. There's time to taste what they've made and ask questions as they go, so you'll walk away with more than just a recipe. The class runs twice—once at 1 PM and again at 3 PM—so you can pick the time that works best for your Sunday.
Seating is communal and limited to 40 guests, with standing room available for those who don't have a spot. Because of that, advance reservations are encouraged. The shop stays open to everyone else during the event, so you can still stop in for your usual run even if you aren't signed up for the class.
