Charity dining event with 30+ chefs and restaurants supporting Giving Kitchen's mission for food service workers, featuring a family-style dinner and live auction.
Giving Kitchen is taking over State Farm Arena on Sunday, November 1, for Forkside Seats, a one-night dinner that turns the arena floor into what they call Atlanta's largest dining room. It's a family-style dinner curated by Chef G. Garvin, the arena's Chief Culinary Officer and a well-known TV host and restaurateur, and it brings together more than 30 chefs and restaurants from across the city.
The theme this year is True to Atlanta, and it's meant to put different generations of the city's food scene at the same table. The spread runs from a 1945 tea room to the newest spots in town, so you'll see the old guard and the new arrivals serving side by side. It's a long table of Atlanta's culinary history in one room.
The night is built around Giving Kitchen, a James Beard Award-winning nonprofit born here in Atlanta, the home of the civil rights movement. Since 2013, they've provided emergency assistance to more than 41,000 food service workers and awarded more than $17 million in financial aid across all 50 states. Every ticket goes toward that work, and the evening closes with music and a live auction.
