Upscale literary awards luncheon presented by Black Girls Who Write, with a 21+ dress code.
Black Girls Who Write are hosting the It's LIT! Literary Awards Luncheon at The Gathering Spot ATL on Saturday, November 7, from 12 PM to 4 PM. They're partnering with Spotify for Authors for this one, and the whole thing is powered by community voting, so the awards go to the storytellers the community puts forward—the ones shaping culture and reflecting the richness of Black experiences. This year's theme is The Writings on the Wall, which imagines a museum exhibition that treats books as art in any format.
Beyond the awards, there's a practical side to the partnership. Black Girls Who Write and Spotify for Authors have put together the Written to be Heard Audiobook Grant for self-published Black writers. If you win, TYDEF Studios produces the audiobook, and The LIT Suite—the organization's own marketing agency—handles the marketing strategy and cover design. Spotify for Authors is the title sponsor and presents the Best Black Audiobook award.
