Halloween pumpkin carving session at The Nook on Piedmont Park with prizes for the spookiest, most creative and funniest carvings.
The Nook on Piedmont Park is hosting a Halloween Pumpkin Carving workshop on Tuesday, Oct 27, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's a dedicated carving session where you bring your own pumpkin and spend the evening working on it alongside other people in the neighborhood. The Nook is located at 1144 Piedmont Ave, right in the heart of Midtown, so it's an easy spot to get to if you're already around the park.
There's a competitive side to the night, too. They're handing out prizes in three categories: the scariest, the most creative, and the funniest. If you've got a specific vision for your pumpkin—whether you're going for something genuinely creepy or just plain weird—this is the time to put it together. The prizes give you a reason to push past a simple jack-o'-lantern and actually lean into one of those directions.
Since it's a workshop, you'll have a couple of hours to take your time with the carving rather than rushing through it at home. It's a good way to get your Halloween decor sorted a few days before the actual holiday, and you'll be doing it in a room full of other people doing the same thing. If you're usually the one in charge of the pumpkins for your household, it's a nice change to carve yours in a social setting.
