Cocktails & Canapés: The Art of Holiday Entertaining

Signia by Hilton Atlanta is hosting Cocktails & Canapés: The Art of Holiday Entertaining on Thursday, October 29, from 6 PM to 10 PM. It's an interactive class held at the hotel's Terrace Bar, which is on the lobby level at 159 Northside Dr NW, connected to the Georgia World Congress Center. The whole evening is built around two things: seasonal cocktails and holiday canapés, and you'll be making both.

Leading the cocktail side is the hotel's Director of Beverage, Evan Sewell, who's bringing in Old Fourth Ward Distillery and Shortbarrel Bourbon for the drinks. On the food side, Executive Chef Joseph Graffeo takes the lead on the canapés. Between the two of them, they'll walk you through the recipes and the techniques for putting together a spread that works for a holiday party. It's a hands-on class, so you're not just watching them work—you'll be mixing and prepping alongside them.

Because it's a four-hour session, there's plenty of room to actually get into it rather than rushing through a few recipes. You'll spend the evening learning how to build holiday-inspired drinks and pair them with seasonal appetizers, and since it's all happening right there at the Terrace Bar, you're learning in the same kind of setting where you'd actually serve them. It's the kind of thing that's easy to bring home and use for your own gatherings once the holidays really kick in.
