Student showcase of digital media work from the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University, with industry professionals from metro Atlanta.
The Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) is hosting its Fall 2026 Student Showcase on Friday, December 4, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's held at the institute's space in the New Science & Tech building, 25 Park Place NE in downtown Atlanta.
If you're not familiar with CMII, it's the hub at Georgia State University where students work across just about every form of digital media production—film, gaming, and entertainment all under one roof. The showcase is set up as a bridge to the professional world: students present their work through survey displays and presentations, and industry professionals from across metro Atlanta are invited to meet them and see what they've been building. It's a good chance to see what the next generation of digital creators is actually making, rather than just hearing about it in a course catalog.
CMII sits within the College of Arts & Sciences and focuses on advanced technology workforce training. The goal they talk about is building a national model for media entrepreneurship, which they do by collaborating with partners in the media and arts industries. That professional connection is exactly what this showcase is built for—putting student work in front of the people who hire for these roles.

It's a two-hour window on a Friday afternoon, so you can drop in, walk through the displays, and head out whenever you're done. The showcase runs from 2 PM to 4 PM on December 4 at the Creative Media Industries Institute, New Science & Tech, 25 Park Place NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.
