Annual Act of Remembrance service led by University Chaplain Rev Marylee Anderson, with a sermon by RAF Lossiemouth Station Chaplain and a performance by the University of Aberdeen Chapel Choir.
The University of Aberdeen holds its annual Remembrance Day Chapel Service on Sunday 8 November, with the Act of Remembrance taking place in King's College Chapel. It's a service that brings together the university community and the wider city to mark the day, and if you're planning to go, there are a few things to keep in mind before you set off.
The service runs from 10:50 to 12:00, with doors opening at 10:30. They ask that you're seated by 10:45, so it's worth arriving a bit early rather than cutting it fine. The University Chaplain, Rev Marylee Anderson, leads the service, and the sermon comes from Rev (Sqn Ldr) Andrew Tucker, Station Chaplain from RAF Lossiemouth. The University of Aberdeen Chapel Choir provides the music throughout.
Once the service finishes, the morning continues outside. Guests gather next to the King's Lawn in front of Elphinstone Hall to watch the Aberdeen Universities Officers' Training Corps and the East of Scotland Universities Air Squadron parade and cadet inspection, with the Aberdeen UOTC Drums and Pipes accompanying them. After that, there's tea and coffee in Elphinstone Hall.

The whole thing takes place at King's College Chapel, University of Aberdeen, on Sunday 8 November, from 10:50 to 12:00.
