Gilded Balloon's comedy tour with headliner Chloe Petts, plus Ian Smith, Ayo Adenekan and Samira Banks, at The Tivoli Theatre.
The Big Comedy Roadshow comes to The Tivoli Theatre on Wednesday 4 November, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's presented by Gilded Balloon, Scotland's original home of live comedy, and they've billed it as the country's biggest and best live comedy tour, built around pairing established TV names with up-and-coming stand-up talent.
Headlining is Chloe Petts, a young comic who's worked her way across a fair few screens: Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice, and she co-hosted The Guilty Feminist. She's joined by Ian Smith, best known for 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and his BBC Radio 4 show Ian Smith is Stressed; Ayo Adenekan, an ISH Comedy Award winner and writer for SNL UK; and Samira Banks, who won the 2023 So You Think You're Funny? competition. Jay Lafferty, a regular on BBC Scotland's Breaking The News, rounds off the night as MC.
Between them, that's five comics on one bill, so you're getting a full evening of stand-up rather than a single act. The British Comedy Guide summed it up as 'will make you laugh, a lot, simple as'.
