A concert by A TO Z Aberdeen that opens through song, dialogue and dance around youth mental health, with donation-based tickets supporting A TO Z's production of Dear Evan Hansen.
A TO Z are back on stage at The Craig Centre for Performing Arts on Friday 23 October, with their new production The Concert Project. It's a concert built around youth mental health, social isolation and community connection, and it opens with song, dialogue and dance. Music director Alisdair Sneden drew on both musical theatre and pop for the set, and the company worked with The Nook β a city-centre venue run by the mental health charity SAMH β to ground the material. The title itself is a nod to The Connor Project, the memorial campaign at the heart of the musical Dear Evan Hansen, which A TO Z are due to stage at the Tivoli.
If you haven't come across them yet, A TO Z is a theatre company for young adults founded by director Joel Simpson. He started it after finding the city's amateur drama scene hard to break into, with established groups often oversubscribed and rarely open to new members. They debuted in January 2026 with Soho Cinders, a show that drew in 25 performers from different backgrounds, and fourteen new members joined through open auditions this year.
