Texas, with support from Del Amitri, play their greatest hits and the full 'White on Blonde' album to mark its 30th anniversary.
Texas are back at P&J Live on Friday 15 October 2027, with Del Amitri supporting. It's one of two Scottish arena dates on an 11-date tour of the UK and Ireland, and the whole night is built around the 30th anniversary of White on Blonde.
That record came out in 1997, went to number one, and gave the band five Top 10 singles. It was the one that really put them on the map, and the sound came from their love of soul and trip-hop. Sharleen Spiteri recalls recording the vocals in her coat cupboard, which is a nice bit of detail to keep in mind when you're hearing those songs in an arena. The anniversary edition of the album adds a new track, 'Another Way To Cry', and brings the record to vinyl for the first time, while an expanded edition gathers rarities. On the night, Texas will play the original album in full, alongside their greatest hits from across four decades, so you'll get the 1997 record and the best of everything else in one go.
Texas are a Glasgow band fronted by Spiteri, and they've been a firm favourite with Aberdeen audiences for decades. P&J Live managing director Rob Wicks says their last show in the city sold out in 15 minutes, so it's worth getting your tickets sorted sooner rather than later. Del Amitri open the bill, so there's two Scottish bands on the one night.
