American tribute show by the vocal group Soul Satisfaction celebrating the music of The Four Tops and other Motown legends.
Sugar Pie Honey Bunch comes to The Tivoli Theatre on Sunday 17 January 2027, a tribute show celebrating the music of the Four Tops and other Motown legends. It's performed by the vocal group Soul Satisfaction, who are billed as the only American tribute show of their kind touring the UK. They bring the Motown sound to the stage with powerful vocals, tight harmonies and high-stepping dance routines, and the whole thing is performed as it was back in the day.
The set centres on the Four Tops, with hits like 'Reach Out', 'Baby I Need Your Loving', 'Walk Away Renee', 'Standing In the Shadow' and 'Bernadette'. From there it opens up to other Motown classics by the Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Marvin Gaye and Ben E. King. It's a concept-style tribute, so it's not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the original artists, estates or management.
Soul Satisfaction has a bit of a pedigree behind it, too. Motown songwriter Eddie Holland, of the Holland-Dozier-Holland team, once called them 'one of the most professional and tightest vocal groups that I have seen'. They describe the show as world class, and the focus is on the vocal performance and the choreography that went with the Motown era.
