Yorkshire indie band Skylights play a short set at Pittodrie Stadium before the Aberdeen FC match against Hibs, then head to the Music Hall.
Skylights are playing Pittodrie on Saturday 7 November, a short set before the Aberdeen FC match against Hibs, followed by a full evening show at the Music Hall. It's a double on the same day: the stadium appearance in the afternoon and the proper gig later that night.
They're a Yorkshire indie band from York and Leeds who've built a following in Scotland and the north-east, citing Oasis, The Verve and the Courteeners as influences. They've spoken about Aberdeen as a second home, and their history in the city runs through Unit 51, The Tunnels, the Lemon Tree and the Beach Ballroom, which they sold out before stepping up to the Music Hall. The Pittodrie slot came about after supporter Andy Forbes emailed the club to ask if they could get the band on; the club has since taken to playing their tracks on match days.
There's a strong Dons connection here. Lead singer Rob Scarisbrick was in the Red Army in the Hampden stands when Aberdeen lifted the Scottish Cup last year, and guitarist Turnbull Smith has talked about the band's link to the club, with many members being Leeds United fans. They perform an extended version of 'Outlaw', which carries the Dons' 'Stand Free' chant in its chorus, a move inspired by The Enemy playing before a Coventry game. Back in 2023, they played three Aberdeen venues in a single night.

So, if you're heading to the match, you can catch them at Pittodrie before kick-off, and if you're in the mood for a full set, they'll be at the Music Hall that evening. Both are on Saturday 7 November.
