Live concert by UK singer-songwriter and Grammy-nominated songwriter Richard Walters, with Alison Moyet as support, at the Aberdeen Music Hall.
Richard Walters plays Aberdeen Music Hall on Saturday 31 October, as part of his current tour. He's supporting Alison Moyet, so the night gives you two voices for the price of one ticket.
Walters is an Oxford artist and a Grammy-nominated songwriter who's been putting out records since 2007. He's released five albums and four EPs as a solo artist, and his songs have cropped up on TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Netflix's After Life and CSI: Miami. He's worked with a wide range of people, too: Joe Henry, Semisonic, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Sultan + Shepard, and the poet Simon Armitage in the band LYR. He's also collaborated with Florence Pugh.
Beyond the records, he does a fair amount of commissioned work. Blossomise was for The National Trust; Firm as a Rock won the North-East Culture Awards for the Durham Brass festival; and he wrote a piece inspired by the Shipping Forecast for the BBC Proms. He's had support from Lauren Laverne and Guy Garvey at BBC 6 Music, and from Jo Whiley and Dermot O'Leary at BBC Radio 2.

At the moment he's also extending an artist residency with the Solent Seascape Project, the Blue Marine Foundation and The Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme, where he's exploring the wildlife, communities and history of the Solent. The show starts at 7:00 PM at Aberdeen Music Hall on Union Street.
